Don’t Throw Away your Masters Badges

Kip Ingle shows Matt Adams vintage Masters paper badges, some of which have sold at auction for $30,000. The US Open Auction starts on June 1, these badges from 1958 and 1960 will be in this auction.

Some of the most important collectibles are from the Masters. The first badge displayed is from 1958, this is such a significance because it is Arnold Palmer’s first Masters win. Mr. Palmer went on to win 4 Masters. Also displayed is a ticket from 1960, this is the last year for paper badges. The Augusten National went to plastic badges.

Most people throw these kinds of things away after the event, but to collectors they are very important. Two of the 1934 Masters Badges they came across were from a lady who’s father built Bobby Jones’ home.
